    Right Range, Right Stock, Right Place, Right Time, Right Price

    Responsible for forecasting supply and demand using effective merchandise and range plans. Working closely with buyers, online trading team and stock allocators, plan, forecast, and review sales and stock performance, with the goal of optimising stock holding, maximising sales opportunities and enhancing profitability.

    Key Responsibilities

    Range Reviews

    • Production of Range Review Context Analysis files and the Range Planning Tool
    • Production of Range Review Context Presentation Decks including commentary
    • Actively participate in Range review process in collaboration with the buyer, comparing achieved metrics, target metrics and providing recommendations for range change

    Forecasting

    • Robust sales and purchase forecasting at SKU level rolling up to compare with WSSI and ensuring gaps / overbuying are accounted for
    • Weekly sales tracking and re-forecasting at SKU Level
    • Promotional forecasting and daily tracking of sell through of seasonal / bought for sale product

    Stock Analysis

    • Long stock analysis and exit planning
    • Management of discontinued product list
    • Target stock levels analysis and recommendations for adjustment where applicable

    Range and Price Management

    • Monitor and review current product and SKU Counts to ensure agreed range is being traded
    • In flight recommendations for range changes / sku changes due to poor performance
    • Governance of price points and price architecture
    • Price Change, Promotional and New Product Launch sales analysis
    • LH vs Competitor pricing analysis with change recommendations being made based on local competitor pricing strategy
    • General range and pricing analysis using Rate of sale, Revenue and Margin metrics

    General Daily / Weekly Reporting

    • Monday Report production for buying and stock team
    • Weekly Stock analysis reporting
    • WSSI maintenance and exception reporting, with full understanding of any variance to plan
    • Ad Hoc stock and sales insight reporting and analysis

    There are some things you need to bring to the table and these include:

    • Proven Retail Merchandising and Demand Planning experience, preferably in a WSSI and OTB driven environment
    • Good understanding of commercial financial metrics and analysis techniques within a sales and purchasing environment
    • Highly technical and quick to adapt to varying (and sometimes limited) IT and Business intelligence environments
    • Google Suite expert, Microsoft Office expert - Primarily Excel
    • Experience with SQL Databases and query writing/editing would be an advantage

    Product Design & Development Engineer

    This role will ensure that Lovehoney is at the forefront of design developments in order to consistently bring innovative ideas and technologies to our product offering, thus giving our customers the very latest in available technology. The role is responsible for improving current products to enable continuous improvements in all areas of the customer journey - from opening the box to the use, care and maintenance of the item

    The Product Design & Development role will also manage the development teams within our supply chain with a clear brief, overseeing and supporting them to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. It will also support with new product related communication across the business

    Key Responsibilities

    • Working closely with the product team to take concept product ideas through to 2D images and 3D renders and prints
    • Collaborate with other business functions to translate customers' needs and market requirements into defined product specifications
    • Create detailed design briefs and impart that to suppliers and work with their development team along a specified timeline (stage gate process), thus ensuring product is delivered on-time and on-budget with no surprises
    • Present design, cost, changes and budgetary information effectively to the Product Director and provide regular progress updates
    • Drive forward product development, innovation and ‘think outside the box’ to generate engineering advantage for customers, thinking creatively to develop new/improved solutions
    • Supervision of full life-cycle of product development including design, prototyping, testing, manufacture and implementation
    • Responsible for the investigation and introduction of innovative new materials and Identification of new production processes to ensure Lovehoney remains a market leader in the manufacturer of sex toys
    • Understand industry trends, within our business scope and outside, through competitor analysis and benchmarking
    • Responsible for the day to day management of design activities including Request for Quotations (RFQs), Design freeze / release, Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis (DFMEA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Design Verification/Product Validation (DV & PV) testing and Computer-aided engineering (CAE)
    • Coordinate product evaluation and testing, including human testing, prior to mass production to ensure it's designed for manufacture, compliant with the relevant legislation and - most importantly - fit for purpose
    • Consult with internal stakeholders to comply with internal quality management systems as an authority on product, component, packaging and material risk assessments
    • Oversee pilot and pre-production runs and ensure all corrective action plans (CAP’s) are implemented prior to mass production
    • Work with the Quality and Technical Manager to implement a continuous product improvement plan to review issues and problems with existing products and implement corrective actions
    • Review/monitor existing suppliers to ensure that procedures are adhered to and that the current manufacturing base is stable and performing as required
    • Audit potential suppliers and oversee corrective actions in order to bring these suppliers up to standard and, if successful, closely monitor the initial development process and again work to a stage gate process.

    There are some things you need to bring to the table and these include:

    • Ideally degree qualified in a relevant field
    • A minimum of 4 years Industrial/Product design engineering experience, preferably with good mechanical background/knowledge
    • 2D experience is essential in order to rapidly produce sketches for clarification/communication of the brief
    • Expert in using 3D Mechanical design engineering packages (Solidworks experience would be an advantage, however not essential. Other similar 3D packages will be considered such as Inventor, Pro-E, Desktop or any similar 3D package)
    • Mechanically biased engineer, with basic electrical competency and be confident generating your own BOM’s and seeing products through to the manufacturing process
