    We are looking for a talented Email Manager to join our team (based in the UK). You will be accountable for leading the email team which will involve you planning, executing, monitoring and reporting of all email marketing activity. This will be determined and designed to specifically deliver against sales revenue and engagement targets across the Lovehoney business.

    This role will see you liaising with people in different time zones so its key that you are flexible in approach and style to meet the various region’s needs.

    You will be empowered to effectively manage all email communications including the forecasting, automation and budget control. You will play a key role in driving list growth and revenue maximisation, from an email perspective, with support from the wider Brand & Marketing team. As you can imagine its key that Lovehoney remains at the fore of best practice and innovation and as such you will be expected to continuously innovate and use evidence based methodologies to test and improve email effectiveness. Reporting plays a key part within this role to ensure we are using segmentation data to deliver relevant and targeted content – therefore there will be a need to monitor and report on volumes and engagement metrics.

    You will need to have experience of managing a team of email marketers to ensure they are clear on their KPIs, have capability to coach and develop and encourage a culture of open communication across both the email and wider business teams.

    High Level Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

    Email Management

    • Manage all email communications across the Lovehoney Group
    • Accurately forecast email revenue across the LHUK, LHUS, and LHAU websites
    • Ensure that email systems are operating effectively and are adequately equipped
    • Develop a programme of automation emails in order to drive revenue and engagement at key touch points in a customer’s journey
    • Set and adhere to the financial budget required to run the email marketing programme

    List Growth & Revenue Maximisation

    • Initiate and implement a compelling and balanced calendar of email activity in order to drive revenue and engagement
    • Develop and implement a strategy for email activity in order to meet targets
    • Increase channel revenue with a comprehensive up-sell and cross-sell email strategy
    • Increase customer retention using perfectly targeted and timed emails
    • Minimise unsubscribe rate through careful management of content and customer preferences
    • Monitor campaign ROI and regularly report progress

    Best Practice & Innovation

    • Continuously innovate in the advancement of our email capabilities including targeting, personalisation, and template development
    • Use evidence-based methodology to continuously test and improve email effectiveness
    • Report on and analyse the successes and failures of email marketing
    • Maintain high deliverability by keeping to sender best practices and ensuring DKIM and SPF records are present for sending domains

    User Experience

    • Use segmentation to deliver relevant, targeted content
    • Monitor and report on send volumes and engagement metrics
    • Monitor Campaign Feedback and suggest user experience developments
    • Plan user journeys to ensure all assets to support email campaigns are created
    • Create email HTML modules and templates that adhere to usability principles

    Team Management

    • Manage the performance of the Email Team, setting objectives, giving regular feedback and addressing performance
    • Instigate and participate in regular team meetings to review email performance, set team priorities and any changes to plans
    • Provide training and development to staff, coaching staff in core email creation, email marketing best practice and email marketing metrics & reporting skills
    • Encourage an environment of open communication within the team and the company of effective cross functional relationships

    Personal Performance

    • You are clear on your objectives and KPIs for the year and you are driving and owning your own development
    • Regular 121s are attended and prepared for, ensuring clear feedback and actions are provided and received in an open and honest way

    • Be able to adapt content depending on the audience and tone, conversation and content
    • Be confident in ensuring that emails and systems meet deliverability standards
    • Be confident in managing data and have experience of email and customer segmentation
    • Understand the value of taking a ‘test and learn' approach towards email marketing communications
