13 June 2017, Bath, UK- Lovehoney, the UK's largest online sex toy retailer, has worked with local learning institution Bath College to develop a unique, world-first 'Sexual Happiness' qualification for all staff.
The Sexual Happiness qualification covers a wide and diverse range of subjects, varying from in-depth product knowledge, to sexual health issues, to sexual identity and more.
Topics are taught by experienced Lovehoney staff - experts in their respective fields - alongside guest lecturers Dr Jamie Lawson of Bristol University and Victoria Lehmann, a long-established sexual and relationships therapist.
Those that complete the course and accompanying workbook will gain a Level 2 in Sexual Happiness, accredited by Bath College and awarding body ABMA Education.
The first round of 10 participants, representing Customer Care, HR, Marketing, Online Trade, Sales, Buying and Content, graduated on May 31.
Graduates have already reported that they have been able to use some of their newly acquired knowledge, most notably in the customer care department, to advise on a range of issues including products to use when transitioning from male-to-female, erectile dysfunction and many more.
Lovehoney has recently commissioned a study of 2000 sex toy and non sex toy users and found that 98% of respondents felt that sex was good for their wellbeing. A surprisingly large number - 29% - have struggled sexually due to medical reasons.
13 June 2017 - Lovehoney has announced the results of some independent research conducted in the UK around sexual happiness, sex toy usage and attitudes towards sex.
The research was conducted by Ragdoll, an independent research company based in the South West of England. Ragdoll surveyed 2000 people who were a mix of sex toy users and non-sex toy users and give an overall view of the opinions and attitudes towards sex and sex toys in the UK in 2017.
75% of women have tried spanking compared to 66% of men;
Blindfolds are the second most popular sex game, tried by two-thirds of couples, followed by tying each other up;
More women than men have tried all the most popular bondage activities;
Humour is the biggest turn-on for women whereas men get their kicks most from sexual confidence;

The Bath Comedy Festival and Visit Bath are 'buzzing' after announcing their sponsorship collaboration with Lovehoney, the UK's largest online sex toy retailer.
Paul Merton, Barry Cryer and Arthur Smith are all appearing at the festival which kicks off on April Fools' Day (April 1) and runs for 17 days in venues all across the stunning, historic city.
Smith has described the annual celebration as the 'best comedy festival in England.'

London - The UK's biggest and most famous sex toy store, Harmony on Oxford Street, has reported an uplift in footfall since the launch of their Fifty Shades Darker window display.
The display was designed in house by the Lovehoney team and the project was spearheaded by Laura Wood, Lovehoney Sales Consultant. Entitled 'Masquerade Ball' the scene depicts two mysterious figures dancing by the light of a chandelier.
The haunting scene is reminiscent of scenes from the soon-to-be-released Fifty Shades Darker movie.
